	Prima di ogni happening Allan Kaprow incontrava i partecipanti per discuterne lo svolgimento. Trading dirt inizierà il 30 novembre (ore 16.00), al termine di un incontro con l’artista Geoffrey Hendricks. Chi vuole partecipare dovrà arrivare al museo con un secchio che potrà riempire con la terra del parco. Da questo momento ognuno dovrà scambiare la terra del suo secchio con quella di altri luoghi o altre persone. Il 22 gennaio (ore 17) un altro incontro con Geoffrey Hendricks segnerà la fine dell’happening. This happening will start on November 30th (4 p.m.), after a preliminary meeting with the artist Geoffrey Hendricks. Anyone wanting to participate has to bring his own bucket and fill it with the dirt from the park. From this moment the dirt should be exchanged, asking for other people’s dirt. The happening will end on January 22nd (5 p.m.) during a further meeting with Geoffrey Hendricks.

	Il gruppo dei partecipanti dipingerà con colori lavabili sagome, barchette, rami. Coloreranno con la pittura nera un viale nel parco, scriveranno parole su fogli da abbandonare sul prato, appenderanno sagome di carta agli alberi. La pioggia laverà via tutto. The participants will use watercolours to paint silhouettes, little boats, branches. A park path will be painted black, while words written on sheets of paper will be spread on the grass and paper-men will be hung on the trees. The rain will wash everything away.

	In una giornata di pioggia i partecipanti partono dal Museo di Villa Croce con un telo di plastica. Un gruppo regge il telo mentre gli altri stanno sotto, muovendolo. Lentamente si cammina fino al Porto Antico, dove l’acqua viene versata in mare. Al ritorno le persone che erano state all’asciutto sotto il telone si scambiano con quelle che lo reggevano ai lati. Il mare – importante per l’immaginario genovese – si sostituisce al Reno. Lentamente si rientra al punto di partenza:l’acqua raccolta al ritorno viene versata sul terreno. LA REALIZZAZIONE DIPENDE DALLE CONDIZIONI METEO. E’ POSSIBILE CHE SI SVOLGA IN UN’ ALTRA DATA In a raining day the participants will walk from the Museum to the Porto Antico under a plastic sheet, filling it with water. Some will carry the sheet, while the others will stay under it. Once to the pear, they empty the sheet into the sea. On the way back to the Museum, they swap roles. THE HAPPENING DEPENDS ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE DATE MAY CHANGE

	Nel cortile minore di Palazzo Ducale, 216 blocchi di ghiaccio per formare un recinto alto 180 cm e largo 320 cm. Nei giorni successivi si attenderà che il muro si sciolga. In the Palazzo Ducale courtyard, 216 ice blocks to built a rectangular enclosure 180 cm hight and 320 wide. The following days the walls are left to melt.
